Doo Lally Pip Gwendoline - a stamped tag

Ali-Craft would like to give a Big Welcome to our new Design Team member Jane

Jane very kindly helped me out at Farnborough show last year when i had to leave the stand to do workshops, she did a great job using products that were new to her.
We are so pleased that she is able to give us some of her time and share her designs with us, make sure you pop over to her blog to see more of her work

Hello Everyone! Jane here today! I am so excited and a little nervous to be posting my first Project on the Ali-Craft blog.
I was thrilled to be asked to join the Ali-Craft Design Team and am really looking forward to sharing my makes with you.
For today's post, I have made a tag using the fabulous Doo Lally Pip Gwendoline and Distress and Adirondack inks to create the background.

To make the tag you will need:

To decorate the tag:

1. Blend Tumbled Glass ink over the top two thirds of the tag and Shabby Shutters over the bottom section. Stamp flowers in Shabby Shutters and Lettuce inks. Blend tea dye ink around the edges of the tag

2. Stamp the image directly on to the prepared background and again onto white card. Colour the image  using the medium of your choice ( I have used Promarkers) and cut out. Stick over the image you have stamped on the tag.

3. Rip a strip Vellum to approximately 2.5 cm wide. Stamp with the sentiment and sew onto the tag over Gwendoline's legs. Trim off excess Vellum at sides so it is flush with the sides of the tag.
Glue on a paper flower, a button threaded with twine and a stick on pearl.

4. Thread the tag with some jute ribbon and tie on some lace and fancy trim. Add a safety pin and glue on a paper flower.

Here is the finished tag! I will be back again soon with another Doo Lally Pip Project!

  1. Hi Jane
Thank you for describing how you have made this tag, I have this adorable juggling birds image, so nice, but have never managed to get it quite right and you saying about the double stamping and putting the image over the top...Genius, thanks for that.

  7. I really love this, great image and words. It really made me smile, as I love birds and 'juggling blackbirds' reminded me of throwing out currants oneday to two fighting blackbirds. I had to try to keep them apart by throwing the currants in different directions... Gill x
