Fourth project from the Fab kit- Scrapbook page of Paige

Hi all,

Here s the fourth project from the fab kit available from Ali-craft .

It is a lovely scrapbook page, again fairly simple but very effective:

You will need:

  • Birthday stack
  • A 8x8 piece of card stock from stash - I used scalloped edge effect
  • Stickers from Birthday stack
  • black fine marker pen
  • gems from own stash
  • White A4 card stock
  • photo
  • corner rounder

Step 1: Choose a picture and cut round and round the corners, mount on white card stock. Round the corners of the card.

Step 2: Cut strops of patterned paper as shown, I have done two strips and a few rectangles.

Step 3: I layered them onto the 8x8 scrap page. All sticking to the left hand side , leaving space for the sticker wording.

Step 4: I stuck theses down using double sided tape and with the fine line marker I drew round the two long stops and added a stitch effect to one piece of the patterned paper. On top of these I then stuck down the photo. I then added a few sticker markers and then drew round them.

Step 5: I used a selection of word stickers from the front of the Birthday stack. These are great as they are stickers so no messy glue!

Step 6: Add a few gems and cut out two dots from the paper and draw round them in pen.

A simple yet very effective bright scrapbook page.

Hope you all like?

2 x white A4 card stock- from stash
3 x Patterned sheets from paper stack
    Corner rounder - from stash
    Stamp set: Kaisercraft friends

    Card folder / scorer
    Double sided tape
    Foam dots - from stash

Step 1: Score and fold 1x A4 white card to make A5 card

Step 2: Cut 1 piece of white card 14cm x 20cm - round the corners

Step 3: Select 3 x pieces of patterned paper from the Birthday stack

Step 4: Using the spare white card cut 2x panels 6cm x 6cm then round corners cut 1 panel from the spare card 14.5cm x 6cm, round the corners.

Step 5: Cut patterned paper to fit the panels : 2 x 5.5cm x 5.5cm round the corners. Cut another panel 14cm x 5.5cm and round corners.

Step 6: Stick the paper to the white card panels with double sided tape.

Step 7: Attach the panels to the back ground card using foam dots.

Step 8: Stamp a saying from the Kaisercraft Friendship stamp set using the purple stays on or any colour that matches the design on your chosen papers.

Step 9: Add a cocktail stick under a flag embellishment found at the front of the Birthday paper stack. I attached using glossy accents as this will stick most things but you need to leave it to dry.

Step 8: Layer the card together

I hope you all like this card, I love the simplicity of it. It is fun and Funky.

Ali- Craft Kit Project 2 - Birthday Wish Box

Hi all,

This is the second project (total of 4 for the month)

Birthday Scrapbook Kit In A Stack 8"X8"

YOU ARE GETTING IN THE KIT
DIE-CUTS WITH A VIEW Scrapbook Kit In A Stack 8"X8"  Birthday
A great value! Includes 3 sheets of stickers; 4 sheets of vellum quotes; 24 sheets of printed paper; and 24 sheets of textured, solid cardstock.
2 x Kaisercraft stamp sets Friendship Sentiments, and Life Sentiments
Selection of ribbons and buttons

RRP for kit is £24.99  Monthly special price is £18.99 for February Only

well I hope you enjoyed last weeks project???
This week I am going to show you how to make the sweet little Birthday Box. This can be altered to any gift box or just a pretty keepsake on any top.

Ok so here is what you will need:

  • Un used box (mine had an acetate cut out)
  • Birthday stack
  • Sanding block
  • Paper flowers from stash
  • Ribbon
  • Brads from stash
  • Gems from stash
  • Lace
  • Double sided tape
  • Glossy accents
  • Sticky dots
Here is the box I used

Step 1: Cut the plain card stock from your stack to fit all sides of your box. I didn't cover the bottom or insides of the box but this is down to you if you want to.

Step 2: I then distressed the card using the sanding block. The card stock enables you to easily add the distressed look with little ease.

Step 3: Attach all card to sides of box using the double sided tape.

Step 4: I then added the velum saying from the stack. I used the double sided but was aware that you can see the tape through the velum, but was to cover the tape with embellishments.

Step 5: Add a line of gems around the saying edges using gems from you own stash.

Step 6: Add some panels from the birthday stack to decorate the sides of your box. I have chosen banners and gifts. Then add lace around the bottom of the box using double sided tape.

Step 7: Take a tag from the stack and stick to card stock, then cut round and add ribbon, this can be left blank and filled in when you know who is to receive the gift. Sticky dot the ribbon the the box lid.

Step 8: Arrange paper flowers around the corners of the box until you are happy with the layout, once happy add brads to a few of the flowers and then glossy accent them to the box.

TA da! A lovely little gift box.

February Monthly Special Kit project

February Monthly Special Kit Projects
Andrea will be showing 4 projects during February, all from this same kit

Below is the 1st project
projects 2, 3 and 4 to follow each monday, make sure you keep popping back

The kit is available from our website at a special price
www.ali-craft.co.uk

Hi all,

Andrea here, been what seems like forever!!
Ali has set a new design team challenge. We get a kit Ali has put together and make 4 projects for you to re-create at home!!! You can purchase the below kit from Ali-Craft.

So here are the things I made using the Kit!!! Ok so got a little carried away made 5! but could have been so much more.

I could have made so many things but it has been ages since I did some scrapbooking! So thought I would add a few pages.
The paper pad was amazing!!!!! It was bright a cheery at such a horrid, cold time of the year.
There are a few pages of embellishment stickers, excellent thick quality that all match the papers and some great bits to give you a little inspiration.
In the kit you will receive 2 stamp sets that have an amazing variety of saying , making them useable for any project!!
Also in the kit you get some co-ordinating ribbon, lace and buttons that can add so many different aspects to your work.

So here goes the 1st fab project to give you some inspiration and colour into any scrapbooking project:

Baby Logan asleep (always the best moments)

You will need:

from the Kit:

  • patterned spotty paper from stack
  • plain paper from stack
  • alternative patterned paper from stack
  • stickers from stack
  • saying stamp from set
  • gems from own stash
  • chipboard bunting from own stash
  • white card stock from own stash
  • black pen
  • corner rounder
  • double sided tape

Step 1: lay out the patterned paper and trim the plain card from the stack (in my case blue) to leave a         border of pattern around edges.

Step 2: From the alternative patterned paper draw and cut out a star shape and triangles for the chipboard bunting from stash.

Step 3: Choose a photo ( just 1 needed as 8x8 page) round the corners and then mount onto white card stock from stash , leaving a small border, also round the corners on this.

Step 4: add 2 borders from the label tags in the embellishment part of the stack. (you will use the actual sticker in other projects you just want the border part of the sticker left over) stick this to a piece of whits card and cut round.

Step 5: now you can start to stick the page together once happy with the way the layout is going, use the double sided from your stash. Add two corner stickers also at the front of your stack - see it just keeps giving !!!

Step 6: add the bunting , if you don't have chipboard bunting in your own stash you can make your own with the ribbon in the kits and patterned paper.

Step 8: So nearly there, time to bring out the saying from the fabby stamp set, I have used versa fine to stamp this in the corner. Now to bring out the black pen and the budding artist / journal junker!! I have loosely drawn around the bunting triangles and done some stitch around the star. I have added the gems coming from the star. I have added tag writing in the tabs and drawn around the corner stickers. I have added little z stickers for sleeping Logan.  Just wish they stayed that little forever :)

Hope you enjoyed making this page (if you have) I thought it was simple but very effective a great starting page or one to add to your never ending ways to treasure your pictures.

Andrea xx
